Never have I been reprimanded for using a card key scanner after someone else. Apparently, I was supposed to know there is a 5 second delay before it can register another scan. Front desk staff was rude and treated me like it was my job to know this. Funny thing is, I read this in another review after it happened, so it seems to be an ongoing issue. Pick one: fix your log-in machines or fix your staff’s attitude. Gym layout is also incredibly awkward and most of their open floor spaces are closed off to the public even when classes are not in session. Members are paying hard-earned money for access to this gym and half of the real estate isn’t even accessible to them. This is space other gyms have open for people to do ab work, jump rope, dance, etc. Just join Results Fitness down the street if you are serious about any type of resistance training. This place is beautifully renovated so if you are into paying premium prices to look at fresh paint and colorful chairs, then by all means this is for you. Otherwise just take your money elsewhere.

Most unprofessional gym environment I have ever encountered, no etiquette from members slamming weights breaking machines and spending long periods of time on each machine which shouldn’t be an issue but there is only 1 of each machine. Staff members seemed to judge me for lifting more than the average person while I was working off of my numbers that will help me improve my strength the layout of the gym is very confusing and there are a lot of ways to make the gyms layout better. Another note is I am all for younger children working out. However, there is no reason for kids that appear to be 10-12 years old using the gym especially when they don’t have adult supervision I am shocked that this is allowed as most gyms have an age requirement. Another issue is there are clear and posted gym rules that members seem to take as suggestions, slamming weights on machines, wearing flip flops in the gym etc. if there are gym rules they should be enforced by the staff. The bench press racks are not bolted into the floor and are crooked, the dumbbells are unorganized and the members that pay hard earned money deserve better than what the establishment has to offer. Great facility and best deal in town! Staff is nice and professional, and I love coming to workout here. The facilities are clean, modern and well equipped. I go during the day and it’s not crowded. Pool rock climbing wall is open in the weekends and during the summer—my kids love it!

Bought my membership back in May so here’s my experience after one month of going to this rec center: Firstly, I used to come to this place before it was renovated back when I was a kid. I did remember it fondly, specifically using the pool where the kids swim. However, It would seem that the lanes themselves are not as plentiful as one would think, especially when there are classes ongoing. I even got kicked out of a free swim lane simply because one of the instructors wanted it, even though there was an empty one right next to mine. The employees here seemed to love to tell people what to do, which includes constant checking on people’s belongings when using the gym. There were at least two other people who had bags next to them, but of course I was the only person being told to put my stuff in a cubby. Secondly, comes the issue of the gym. One would think that because of how much time they spent renovating this place it would be more spacious for people to stretch and do body weight exercise exercises. However, The space for people to stretch and do ab workouts is so small that only four people can fit in there at a time. And why is there only one bathroom that’s all the way do

Joined for an annual membership shortly after re-opening. I never saw the old rec center so I cannot compare - but it’s a beautiful space! I haven’t gotten to use even half of the amenities yet (classes, ice skating, pool, indoor track, outdoor grass area) but I am extremely happy with my membership! It is clean and spacious so it’s not too busy. The sauna is a great bonus. Ample staff are available and have been helpful in my interactions. Perfect location right next to the library!
